The Marlow Society is a not-for-profit organisation with a mission. Through the charitable efforts of its members, it sets out to protect the heritage of Marlow, preserve it for future generations, and make it accessible to everyone. An important element of this mission is to educate the public on Marlow's history.
In September 2013, the society organised an event to record - and pay respects to - the historic men and women from Marlow who were amongst the fallen in World War One. The event was called 'Marlow Remembers WW1', and included a presentation in the chapel of the cemetery in Wethered Road, Marlow.
