With a background in market research, I worked my way up to directorship of a medium-sized, Thames Valley advertising agency, before moving on to start my own agency.

My agency served local, national and global clients (including many household names), surviving two recessions along the way. In 2007, after 22 years of successful growth, I sold my shares in an amicable MBO.

Since then, I've been running Cookson Marketing, a marketing and PR 'virtual agency', serving no more than a handful of local (to Henley-on-Thames) clients at a time. I work with a remote team of designers, photographers, printers and DM specialists, all of whom are experts in their field. I don't charge a mark-up on their work, nor do they pay me a commission.

The result is top agency expertise, at a fraction of the cost of a conventional agency.
